As you've all seen from many of my travel pictures that I own a Boba backpack style carrier. I've owned the Boba organic for almost two years now. It has been such a handy tool. I love that it's easy to get on and off and that it has foot straps for older babies. The one thing I always wanted though was a pocket to put my keys in when we take walks. Well, after many upgrades Boba came out with the 3G. When I read about it all I could think was, "finally, the perfect carrier". Then my husband got it for me for the holidays.
The 3G features the usual easy adjusting straps and backpack-style comfort. But here's the kicker, it's got two pockets!
Both are located on the lower front strap of the carrier; it has an open pocket for easy access and a pocket behind that with a zipper.
It also has a purse strap lock so you can put your purse on your shoulder and it won't fall off. The first time I used this, I fell even more in love with this carrier. It also has removable, adjustable-length foot straps. You'll notice in these pictures that I don't have the foot straps on my Boba because my daughter's feet don't quite dangle yet.
They have also added a zip pocket feature for the hood which I really like, as you can put it away now, whereas with the first model, the hood when rolled up and secured with the elastic ties would often pop out. Now they have totally eliminated this problem.
It's comfortable, machine washable and light weight. It comes with a lot of fun patterns too. Now some people might balk at the price but it's entirely WORTH it (and comparable to good non-baby backpacks at sporting good stores). They even included a safety manual for wearing your baby properly. I really appreciate this because I see so many mothers out there not wearing their babies properly. I'll admit when I was a newbie baby wearer I too faced my baby outwards, but this is bad on their necks and legs; with a Boba it's not possible to do this at all, so there is no risk of wearing them improperly. The Boba website has a lot of great info about baby wearing.
I really appreciate how this company actually took the time to ask mothers what they needed in a carrier and then made the appropriate changes. They are a company with integrity who make a good product. My verdict: if you are going to get a carrier that you can use from infancy to toddler hood, that you can wear in the house, out shopping, while camping, hiking, on planes and trains... get this one. It's worth every penny and will stand up to years of baby drool!
(Note: I am not affiliated in anyway with Boba- I just love their product and want you to know about it.)
Wow, I didn't think the Boba could get any better, love the upgrades they made. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, there may be a new Boba in my future :)
ReplyDeleteI know right! You won't regret it for a moment if you do get one! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the baby carrier! It suits you and your baby and also love the colors. You can also bond with your baby with that one.
