i think our veg-minded girls would get along well! and i'm loving that sunlight...this morning we have at least a foot of snow outside and more on the way.
ReplyDeletehere's our moment: http://littlecoffeebeans.typepad.com/blog/2012/02/this-moment.html
We only got wind here. I'm amazed how Colorado gets snow and all AZ gets is wind. What is your girl's favorite veggie? Sofia tried to eat the frawns of the carrot like a "bunny" and proceeded to choke! These dragon carrots are awesome though. Almost like eating candy.
DeleteWhat a sweet pic. I love the lighting too... :)
ReplyDeleteHere is my moment with my little sister from this week: http://calledtoezer.blogspot.com/2012/02/ezer-fridays.html
So cute and that lighting is beautiful...sunset?
ReplyDeleteYes I took this at sunset. I love going out and pulling up veggies just before cooking them. Not two minutes later were the carrots in the oven with the potatoes and chicken.
Deletebeautiful! kids will eat anything from the garden, right? my children went through a phase of picking and eating raw collards with herbs rolled into the middle. they called them collard tacos.

Love kids and vegetables, makes this nutritionist smile :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pic KC and I agree, the lighting is perfect.
Have a lovely weekend.
i have to disguise the carrots and hide them in the apple sauce, otherwise they're not being eaten. so i love this photo!!
ReplyDeleteDo you make your own apple sauce? Sofia loves to eat soup, so I just cook up lots of whatever veggie we have with homemade broth and a potato, then blend it and it becomes a creamy soup. That's how I get her to eat 90% of her veggies. Or I put them into a frittata. Well actually I make veggie muffins too.
DeleteThose eyes sure have a story to tell.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
Have a wonderful weekend.
what a gorgeous eye color! My dull blue almost grey eyes are jealous!

Mmm...this made me think of Thumper's dad's advice "Eating greens is a special treat. It makes LONG ears and great big feet...but it sure is awful stuff to eat...I made that last part up myself!" hehee!
ReplyDeleteOurs is a foodie moment, too:

DeleteI love it! Makes want to plant purple carrots! There is nothing better than little ones in the garden! Thanks for stopping by and sharing our moment this morning!
ReplyDeleteOh! I miss our carrots! They just went out of season the other week. Our little guy has loved gnawing his new teeth on them. Yours look perfect! Are they Purple Hazes?

They are called Dragon carrots. I got them from seed savers exchange. You need to have really loose soil for the carrots to come out well. Otherwise if the root hits a rock it will split. Though two legged carrots are fun!
DeleteWow...we don't get veges like that here this time of year! (Although lately it has been unseasonably warm...) She's adorable! Glad you came by my blog today!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait until it's growing season around here. I just love your blog and your button is adorable...I am going to add it on my page :)
ReplyDeleteThank you very very much! We are having unseasonably warm weather. I've got spinach, chard, peas, carrots, beets and mint already going. At 68-70 degrees everyday why not grow stuff?!
DeleteI intended to send you this tiny note to finally thank you yet again with your stunning things you have documented on this website. This is quite unbelievably generous of you to deliver unreservedly what exactly a few people might have sold for an e-book to make some bucks for their own end, primarily given that you might well have done it if you wanted. Those smart ideas as well served like a good way to recognize that many people have the identical eagerness much like my very own to understand more around this condition. I'm certain there are millions of more pleasant periods ahead for individuals that view your website.
