{this
moment} - A Friday ritual. A
single photo - no words -
capturing a moment from the week. A
simple, special, extraordinary
moment. A moment I want to pause,
savor and remember.

I've been reading a lot of posts lately about honesty in blogging. So it only seemed fair to share a picture of my dirty dishes. The dutch oven has been there for three days.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this honest post. I have similar situations here, especially big things thend to hang around in the dishes for a while :) I was inspired by your post and posted also an honest picture of my scattered clothes in front of the wardrobe in the baby bed. http://mama-for-sale.blogspot.com/2012/02/this-moment-dieser-moment_24.html
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Thanks for stopping by! I'm glad I could be of inspiration!
DeleteThis is wonderful...my favourite so far. Exactly because it's honest..and somehow artistic in it's domestic reality! Mine is the goat pic I sent you...

I was inspired by another Canadian blogger Feather+Anchor,(you Canadian bloggers are so lovely and inspiring!). I alsmost thought about including a picture of the Mt. Everest of Laundry i had in my bathroom up until an hour ago. I literally didn't do mine and my husbands laundry for two weeks! Poor guy says to me, "So this is the day you do laundry for real, right?":)-
DeleteVisiting by way of Knitty Gritty Homestead. What a lovely blog. I think I'm having your moment right now:) Here's ours:

FANTASTIC!!!! Thank you! A perfectly wonderful moment!
ReplyDeleteI took this picture after seeing the post you did about the stuff on your table. That beautiful dinning table!
DeleteNow that looks like a good day was had. The messier the kitchen generally the happier the day in my experience.
ReplyDeleteHere is mine this week, a favourite past time around here, bowling!

I totally agree. Whenever the house gets the messiest usually means were not home enough to clean it or we've been having to much fun in it. Or the day is full of crankiness...
DeleteLove it KC!!! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks! You too.
Deleteah, family life!
ReplyDeleteVisiting from SouleMama....How did you get a picture of my kitchen....oh wait...it just looks like my kitchen...
ReplyDeleteHehe...I should have included others of the counter tops and laundry room! Those are just as bad.
Deletei think you hit a nerve here. LOL maybe there should be a picture of the week about how stuff really looks?! mine would be the GIANT mountain of clean laundry piled on my floor, and the equal monstrous pile of dirty laundry waiting to be washed. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou know it's really bad when you have to wash the cloth diapers again and you've just taken the last one out of the dryer. I don't really get why it's so hard to take all the diapers out at once. Why I leave them in there and take them out one at a time until there all gone I'll never really know. I'm glad I made you laugh!
DeleteThis is an AWESOME picture! I'm glad I'm not the only one whose kitchen looks like this sometimes! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt feels so good to look at someone else's dirty kitchen doesn't it! Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteThat is what my kitchen looks like right now! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by! Have a lovely sink filled with dirty dishes weekend too!!
DeleteLOL, that looks so familiar! by the way, the bread i made that you can see in the photo was a super quick and easy recipe that i will share in detail very soon on the blog, but in case you're curious, it's this one: http://sunscholars.blogspot.com/2012/01/yummy-5-minute-beer-bread.html
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing the post! I some how manage to make sourdough bread once a week. We eat it in two days!
DeleteSo glad to know that my kitchen is not the only one that looks like that! :)
ReplyDeleteOur moment this week comes from my youngest daughter's fourth birthday. She refused to admit she was four until after the birthday ring ceremony! All day long she had said it was her birthday but she kept saying she was not four until this very moment!
