After my spiel about how much I love my new kitchen gloves from the company If You Care, I thought I would send them a note and see if they would let me review some of their other kitchen products, and they did! Here's the box they sent me. Included was cleaning sponges/cloths, snack bags, aluminum foil and parchment paper. They also sent a booklet filled with info about their other products.
Here is a bit more about them in their own words:
"If You Care was conceived of as a brand of environmentally friendly kitchen and household products.
The first If You Care products were unbleached coffee filters, and they were launched in 1990. These were the first unbleached coffee filters in the U.S.
Parchment Baking Paper and Baking Cups soon followed. All of the paper products were unbleached and totally chlorine-free.
In 2004, the very first Aluminum Foil made from 100% recycled aluminum was launched. This product featured a 95% energy savings compared to conventional aluminum foil. Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil for grilling and barbecuing, also from 100% recycled aluminum, was introduced in 2007. That same year, waxed paper, from unbleached paper coated with soybean wax was launched. In 2009, two new products [were launched] – 100% carbon neutral fire starters, made from FSC certified wood and vegetable oil, and sandwich and snack bags made from unbleached greaseproof paper."
I'd like to start with the sponge cloths as I have been using them daily for a while now. If Superman cleaned his house, he would probably use these. Not only are they reusable for a really long time you can machine wash them up to 300 times before they break down! They absorb so much liquid and dry really fast. You can cut them up into what ever size piece you want so it stretches out the life of each cloth. I cut them in half and use one to clean dishes and the other for cleaning around the house. Click here for more on the sponge cloths.
The aluminum foil I use whenever I roast things to cover my pans. I really like that it's recycled because a lot of child labor goes into mining aluminum and I really can't stomach thinking about my potatoes being roasted on child labor. This aluminum foil is thinner then the conventional ones you'll find at the super market, but it does the job just as well and it can be recycled again! Click here for more info about the recycled aluminum foil.
The parchment paper is my favorite. I use it to bake with, wrap cheese in, use as a tupperware cover with a rubber band. It holds up well to oven heat and nothing sticks to it! Plus it's brown and for some reason my brain believes that my food is healthier due to the natural color.
The snack bags are new to me. I usually use cloth snack bags for outings, but these are really nice at home for a quick storage of things like half an onion or leftover cheese. They are also great for travel as I can feel better about having to toss them in the trash. For those of you looking to kick plastic baggies out the window this is a great transition option. There is no petroleum coating on these either! Click here for more about the snack bags.

Those snack bags look awesome. I usually try to use jars, but sometimes that's not particularly convenient.
