Where will July take you? We're ready for a little R&R too. We're heading out tomorrow of a week long adventure!
ReplyDeleteAnd those kimono slippers are adorable. I have a designated pair of flip flops for inside and a pile by the front and back doors for heading out. But those slippers do look quite elegant :)
We're going to San Diego for week. Take a break from the heat and get some beach time. Italians have to go to the ocean every year or they whither and die! :)
DeleteBeauty that Moves is one of my favorite blogs. I've taken two of her on-line cooking classes and loved them both. She also lives very close to where I was born in Connecticut so her photos bring back lots of nostalgic memories for me about my early childhood. Enjoy San Diego! We are going to Nebraska next week to visit Jeff's grandma - not quite the same as the beach but it should be fun. Maybe we can get together when we're all back in town?
ReplyDeleteI want to take her whole foods class when it comes up next year. I wish I had done it this year too. Have a good time in Nebraska! Let's do get together once we get back. :)
DeleteI think I could wallpaper a room with Nikki McClure and never get tired of it!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree. They are great for every room in the house!
DeleteI want a pair of those slippers. I wonder if my machine could sew through leather . . . .
ReplyDeleteIt will, you just need the heavy duty needle and the proper thread. I will probably just do non slipper liner for the bottom.
DeleteThe clothesline...hmmm...part of me says "yes! you need it!" It's adorable. But then another part of me says, "eh, nope. not necessary"...it's kinda expensive for what it is/does, don't you think? I think I would probably just have my kids involved in folding the laundry once I remove it from the line, which is already part of their normal chore list and it works out well.
ReplyDeleteJealous that you get to go to San Diego...this heat is killing me! Enjoy.
I agree. There are so many things that I think, that's so awesome and adorable! But really less is more. But it's hard not to wan it anyway.
DeleteAs for the heat you could always escape up to the top of Mt. Lemmon or another Sky Island. That's what we do when we aren't going to the beach.
i love nikki mcclure's work too! i bought a few of her poster prints a few years ago and besides being beautiful they are also very affordable! it's nice when affordable and beautiful art collide :)
ReplyDeleteI think I will have to buy a few of those prints! I love that she has women hanging laundry, chickens, gardening all the things I do or dream of doing!
DeleteMe three on Nikki Mclure. And I love that Kaftan. The birthday ring looks fun also. Have a great trip!
