  1. a sweet list of seven. But good god, that spider. Ack! Reminds me of the cane spiders in Maui. I like them from afar. Very far.

    1. I did a hiby jiby dance! But I kept my cool because Sofia was right there and Viola was on my back. Amazing what being a protective mama can do to quel your fears. In Maui once I was packing up my luggage and I felt something scurry up my arm! I looked down and it was a two inch cockroach on my elbow! I way flipped out and had trouble sleeping that night!

    2. Such a brave Mama! I too find I have to temper my reactions so as to not freak the little one out. I don't my fear to wash over her, too. It's hard though, isn't it? Especially with critters THAT BIG!

  3. Wow is all I can muster.
I love your solstice seven, but the size of that spider made my jaw drop.
I am not sure I would be able to keep it together!

  4. Do you have a specific recipe for the mint tea? We have a huge mint plant and I've been running out of things to do with it - but mint tea sounds amazing!

    1. I just dry the mint in my dehydrator then store it in a mason jar. To make the tea I just put 1 1/2 teaspoons of the dried leaves into a steeper and pour the water over and that's it!

  5. The great things about growing mint is it takes off like crazy! :) So you should have plenty for tea! :)

    1. I know it's going really well now. I like that every time you prune it more grows back!

  6. Beautiful ways to celebrate midsummer! Well, except for your visitor. I have a hard time applying all-creatures-are-precious to spiders. They freak me out. :)

    1. I need to call the natural pest control guy and see what he can do about all these spiders. I've been seeing lots of little microscopic ones lately. Just that time of year I guess.
