I am a huge fan of breastfeeding and I no qualms with feeding in public or where ever the baby needs to nurse. So I thought I would show you two interesting place from our trip that I breastfeed Viola.
::The first was a Soviet era nuclear submarine. Can't you just hear the clink of vodka glasses?
:: The second a park over looking the bay and the military base.
Be fearless mamas, feed where you need!
amen! i'm a big proponent of breastfeeding and making no apologies for when/where it happens. it's natural and nurturing - how can that be wrong?
ReplyDeletePlus, how can you deny a screaming baby you just hauled down into a nuclear submarine?
ReplyDeleteAmen! Enough said!!
ReplyDeleteThe picture in the submarine is classic! Amen, preach on!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It was funny to sit there as there was nothing to read but russian warning signs. So I thought about how I was underwater in a tin can. I wonder if I was the first person to breastfeed on that nuclear submarine?
DeleteYou tell it, sister! I was fairly self-conscious in Silas' first months, but no more. I think more women need to breastfeed publicly so that the act becomes normalized.
ReplyDeleteSo with you on this one. We nursed wherever and whenever Reece wants to, and still do, although he doesn't nurse nearly as much now. The more we do it the more normal it becomes :)
ReplyDeletecouldn't agree more! i guess i was blessed with breastfeeding as i've never had anyone make any remarks to or around me when i breastfed anywhere and everywhere :) there is nothing more normal than feeding your babe what nature intended them to eat!
ReplyDeleteI was going to say that I have never had a comment either. I've felt really open and free to breastfeed anywhere. Maybe because I do it incognito. As little breast coming out as possible. I can't use a cover though. Both my girls would rip it right off.
