My first garlic braid....

After four days of sitting outside in the sun and a few day more sitting on my kitchen work table, I finally got around to braiding up my garlic. Honestly, it was harder then all the tutorials and book descriptions say it is. They all say if you can braid hair, you can braid garlic.  I thought to myself, I can braid hair this will be a cinch. It took me four tries to get the bunch you see above. 

I have a bunch of other heads of garlic who's stalks were way too big to be braided. It makes me think that I mistakenly planted hard-neck garlic along with the soft neck.  I can't wait to start cooking with this garlic.

In the beginning I thought that the 30 bulbs of garlic I planted were going to last me forever. But now I think it will last maybe 4 months....We'll see I'll keep you posted.
