This post is a way late, but I really want to share this with you all. In early June Daniele was gifted 5 locally caught and smoked trout from a co-worker.
At first I thought, "hmmm trout" but then I opened one up and tasted a bit and whoa, what flavor! I flayed two of them and we ate them then and there. With the next two I made trout and veggie chowder.

I LOVE smoked trout and I think it's a fairly sustainably farmed fish. The chowder looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteThe fish and game department here in Arizona and New Mexico stock the rivers in the mountians with trout. Receiving these fish, makes me want to buy a fishing pole and license and brush up on the fishing skills my grandfather taught me. Maybe next summer!
