We read a lot of books around here. Especially since we are bilingual family we've got two languages worth of books. Every week we go to the toddler story time at our local library and often checkout books afterwards. This has led us to explore many different types of books. So I wanted to share a few that are in our book box.
- Dogfish
- Along a Long Road
- Art for Baby
- A day at the Seashore
- Nurse Nancy
- I Can Fly
- Madeline series
- Toot and Puddle series
- Stella and Sam series
- Dinosaurs
- Hippos go Berserk
Some of our Italian book favorites, in case you are interested:
- Cammina Manina
- Faccio Come Te
- Il Mio Primo Libro del Corpo Umano
- Le Mie Prime Parole della Montagna
- Cracck!
These are just the books we read on a daily basis. We have many more that get circulated from the playroom to Sofia's bedroom and back again. I try to rotate and mix them up every two weeks or so. The ones I find back on the floor in front of the couch I know are her favorites. Some of these books are so loved and have been taped back together so many times that the only thing to hold the tape on is more tape.
My absolute favorites of the bunch are Dogfish and Along a Long Road. The illustrations in latter book are just fantastic. We checked that book out from the library for 6 weeks. Finally I just bought it from Amazon because it was starting to show wear and tear.
Oh yes, and the books on my nightstand are
La Ciociara ,
The Rhythm of Family and
Stitch'N Bitch. My husband is into Neal Stephenson recently.
What are some of the books in your book box?
