New Hobbies

Though my birthday has long since past, I still had lingering birthday gift money. So I took my time and finally decided on these three books. They just arrived yesterday so I haven't had much time to look through them, but I'm so excited.

And the rug, if your wondering, is from Greece. Handmade in a little shop somewhere. Yes, I did haul a rug back from Greece.

Have you started any new hobbies lately?

  1. I've had that book Big little felt universe in my hands a few times at the book store there are so many cute projects in it...I might just check to see if it's at the library to loan out.
So it looks like your days will be filled with lots of crafting..have fun and hope to see pictures soon:)

    1. Thanks. I would like to make the doctor kit and the log fire!I would like to use wool felt but it's expensive. I'm going to look into the wool blend one the author mentions.

  2. There are so many half done projects around my house! I try to work some at night when the girls are asleep. Now that Viola is sleeping at 8 pm I have more time to myself. I currently have six unfinished projects.

  3. Some great finds there KC. New hobbies, like I need one, but I recently picked up a book on making felted animals and am looking forward to finding time to learn more about it and give it a go.

    1. Oh I want to do that too! My aunt bought me a kit once and I still have it. I just haven't sat down with it. Like I need more hobbies too. That's the problem with a handmade life. There is always some new skill to learn. I think wood working is eventually in my future as well. And soap making...oh yikes!

    1. I was there for 10 days. We went to Crete and traveled all over there. Then we went to Athens, unfortunately it was closed. Not really but because the Olympics were going to happen in just a few months all the museums were closed for renovation. So we used our hotel as a base-camp and went on day trips.
