Yesterday we got one thing done. That in itself, for a mama of two, is an accomplishment. With a little hide and go seek and some reading we got the sheets changed. As for the mountain of dishes and laundry...they're still there, but there's always one thing I can get done today.
What's the one thing you got done today? It's okay if it was more then one thing or less. :)
Today I bought flowers from the farmer's market for our secretaries at work....Also, I love your comforter!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's from CB2
DeleteToday I hope to get a shower while my girl naps. It's been a few days... And I've just learned that my man has booked my niece to babysit tonight so we can have a date. A date!! So I guess, I also hope to put a curl in my hair and find a pretty dress that fits this belly :)
ReplyDeleteOh awesome!! Sometimes that is my one accomplishment as well. Yesterday was the first time I took a shower in 4 days! Yikes.
DeleteYour sheet changing routine kinda looks like mine :) Hmmm...today I got two loads of laundry done, although one is still hanging on the line so I guess I only got one load completely done. And I cooked dinner and washed the dishes - score!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I did get a lot done today too actually. Today I washed one load of diapers, did the mountain of dishes, and washed a load of laundry. The diapers are still on the line and the clothes well they're still in the washer! Yikes.
Deleteit made me smile hearing this from another mama. when i'm home all day i have secretly made a deal with myself that i get two major housecleaning chores done... to me any chores are major :) today was vacuuming the house and doing the dishes/cleaning the counters. i just started adding chores like changing the sheets into my phone calendar. i set the notification to go off every saturday and i find it has helped me tremendously to keep up with the non daily chores that so easily slip my mind!
ReplyDeleteCleaning the counters and dishes is always on my high priority list. But I often say Oh I'll do it tomorrow or later, so I can read a book one more time or watch them play in the sand again. I suppose when these girls are 2-4 it will be easier to get some chores done! Your notification idea sounds good!
DeleteHey, most days, one thing done is enough. I've thought about trying out the Monday-is-wash-day, Tuesday-is-baking-day type schedules for all the household work because I tend to put everything off until the last minute, but I'm skeptical about how successful it would be for me. No clean clothes? Okay, I guess TODAY I'll do some laundry. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's me too! I know that something would go wrong right now with two itty bitties and then I would be back to square one. I'm totally the type to be doing diapers right now because baby is wearing the emergency newborn pre-folds and she's 10 months old!
