Pear tree from The Handmade Classroom

About a month ago I entered a giveaway from A Life Sustained. I never expected to win, but it was too good of a giveway. But I did win and here's what I choose with my $30 gift certificate! Aly of The Handmade Classroom is an incredible fiber artist. All her works are handmade with natural materials like wool felt and cotton. She makes learning material for parents and teachers with a montessori style.

I chose the pear tree as a learning tool for our little learning space at home. I wanted to help Sofia learn numbers in a fun tactile way.  The tree and flowers and pears have magnets in them so you can stick them on the tree. Brilliant idea. Aly has done such a good job of concealing the magnets with in the pieces that there is no worry of a baby swallowing them! Her craftsmanship is really top notch.  I was so impressed with her packaging as well. She not only included a care guide and handmade storage bag but a coupon as well.  And, she shipped it all in biodegradable packaging! I'm in love.

Aly really cares about the products she makes and makes each one to order with love. That's why I really like supporting small shops. They put so much love into what they make, and it shows in the little extras they send with whatever you receive! Please check out her shop, you'll love it too!
