All in a day

 :: it started like this

 :: there was a whole lot of this

 :: it rained so much the pool was half full this evening

 :: enormous zucchini leaves, with my foot for size reference

:: hamming it up over a bowl of homemade baked beans

Low key was the theme for this holiday celebration. Sure we grilled a bit and watched one minute of fireworks from our backyard, but most of the day was spent enjoying the rain and each others company.
