This weekend was slow and I am grateful for it.
:: we entertained a guest from Argentina
:: we escaped into the mountains for a respite from the heat
:: made sushi
:: went to the market
:: I did no laundry and now it's spilling out of the hamper onto the floor
:: I did three days worth of dishes in 45 minutes
:: we walked very slowly through the woods taking the time observe even the littlest flowers
:: plums were on sale so I made a plum cake
:: I made nori rolls
:: the whole family fell in love with seaweed snacks
:: V decided walking is awesome or at least better then crawling

ReplyDeleteThanks, it was relaxing.
DeleteYou do dishes like I do! I let them pile pile pile then wash the whole sink in record time. Good job!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I've been trying to do dishes every night so I only have 5 or so dishes todo, but sometimes we just do other things or chaos happens and I don't do them and I cook so much that I get mountain of dishes.
Deletesometimes the laundry just has to wait :) sounds like a great weekend, a good mix of quiet and company.
ReplyDeleteI love getting to know people from other countries. We traveled a lot as a young couple and met so many people it was great. So now when ever we can we try to hang out with foreigners here.
DeleteWe didn't do the laundry either. Until last night, then we did a lot of laundry!
ReplyDeleteI still haven't done the laundry! Yikes it's piling up.
DeleteI could have easily eaten what you made!! I did do laundry and I still have more to do. I've never had a plum cake, only pie!
