Birdie dress

Finally the birdie dress is done. I bought this fabric like four months ago in hopes of making a dress for Sofia out of it. I finally got it done for her birthday today.

It's more of a tunic kind of thing as I shortened the pattern a bit. But I realize that this dress pattern will need to be drastically altered to fit Sofia. She is a really petite girl and every time I make something from a standard pattern it never fits. So I guess I need to make my own dress patterns for her. In any case I like this dress, and she will be able to wear it for a long time to come. I have a lot of fabric left over too, so I might make her another one that will fit next year as well.

Getting these shots of her took so long. She loved running away from me as I tried to take a picture.
