Mostaccioli napoletani

Of all the Christmas time treats to make, mostaccioli napoletani are definitely my favorite. They are a combination of orange, almond and chocolate. They are a soft yet crunchy and have oh so much chocolate! We we go to Italy we usual only get them from the pasticceria (bakery). But since there are non here, I just have to add them to another thing that I make from scratch. Once again I felt the need to use are recipe that's in Italian.

I made them using whole wheat flour instead of all purpose. And the original recipe called for baking ammonia which is really strange as I've never seen it before, but I found that two teaspoons of baking powder and one of baking soda work just fine.

I'll be making a second batch this coming week for Christmas and will do a tutorial then with  recipe in English.
