Plants and pots....

This post is days over due. I started writing it on the 14th and now it's two days later. Anyway it's all about the new garden. Over the weekend we went out and got lots of herbs and veggies at the local nursery Green Things. I was hoping to grow all from seed, but my first trimester wore me out and I never got a round to starting the seed trays.

So I kept it simple, zucchini. eggplants, chilies, and tomatoes. Why I do the tomatoes every year I just don't know. They always fail. But I'm stubborn and try again and again. I bought rosemary, oregano, orange mint and basil. I gave all the herbs their own nice big pot to live in and placed them in local organic potting soil. Now all I have to do is tend to them like I would with the rest of the garden.

I'm hoping the zucchini will be so bountiful this year that I am over whelmed and have to give them away. I am also really counting on the chili and eggplants. I want lots of those!

The peach tree already has baby peaches on it. Come July I will be doing a lot of canning!

Oh yes and this year I'm trying strawberries. Hopefully I can keep Sofia off them long enough for some to grow! She is a great garden helper by they way. She helps me dig holes and throw down mulch. She also loves to water! He favorite activity though is to wear my gloves. She thinks it hilarious.
