Yesterday at the farmers market there were a plethora of onions and garlic. One of the farm stands that I frequent had these lovely fresh onions with the flowers still attached. I've never had an uncured onion before, so I got one to try it out. Apparently you can chop up the flower stalk and saute it with olive oil or butter and it's delicious! This stalk is about 3 feet long. That's why I took pictures of it from both ends.
Have any of you tried these onions? How should I cook it up?
