Last week, after being grossed out for the last time by the growing pile of dirty dish rags and hand towels that pile up on my dryer due to lack of knowing where to put them, I made a bag for the laundry room. I wanted to use this SAS stash fabric for a long time and finally a perfect project came up. This bag took me all of 10 minutes to do. I folded the fabric in half and serged up the sides. Then folded the top edge over 1/4 inch and pressed, then another 1/4 inch and pressed again and then sewed the hem. Finally I used a piece of leftover bright green biased tape from the sleep sack project for Baby P and used it as a hanging strap. So far it works great and looks fun in that bland white room.
And here is a sneak peak at the quilt I am making for Baby P. I got the Lizzy House 1001 Peeps fat quarter set from Fabricworm. Hopefully I can finish it this week. I trying to run on what's left of that nesting energy I had last week.

Ah, that laundry bag is such a great idea. I just toss all the dish rags (which are repurposed cut up and serged cloth nappies) on the laundry floor, which is not the best solution!
ReplyDeleteI tried for a long time to just throw them in the washer, but then I would always have to wash diapers before I got around to the dish rags and then I'd have to take them out and they would end up on the dryer again... Thanks- Feel free to copy the idea!
