This picture does need some words. Look closely to find the bobcat hiding on my back wall. He was not afraid of me and seems to find our back yard interesting enough to jump the 5 foot high wall. This was my second encounter with this large predator and I am amazed and humbled that he or she let me look them directly in the eye.

      My mom was panicked. She said we should throw a rock at it. I said, "Mom it can jump a 6 foot wall what good will throwing a rock at it do?"

      I know what the heck! First he walks boldly through the backyard now he is hanging out on the wall like he's our house pet or something. So much for getting chickens or angora rabbits!

    ahhh great shot, but scary as heck LOL (this from a girl who watched bears walk through her yard, eating from the grapevines, when she was about 10 years old!)

    Wow, incredible. I don't know much about bobcats, but would be surprised if you really had anything to worry about. Now if you had a puppy or chickens, maybe... Happy weekend to you and your family.

    Ahhhh! Is this normal for where you live?!?! I would be freaking out! I would have been way too busy screaming to take a picture, I think. lol! That is quite a moment!
