This picture does need some words. Look closely to find the bobcat hiding on my back wall. He was not afraid of me and seems to find our back yard interesting enough to jump the 5 foot high wall. This was my second encounter with this large predator and I am amazed and humbled that he or she let me look them directly in the eye.
wow, what a capture!!!! look at those eyes staring back!
ReplyDeleteIt didn't flinch not even a little bit. It barely moved.
DeleteOh my, how scary and beautiful all at the same time. Look at that gorgeous face, wow. I can't stop coming back to this. Thank you so much for sharing.

My mom was panicked. She said we should throw a rock at it. I said, "Mom it can jump a 6 foot wall what good will throwing a rock at it do?"
Deletemaybe the water hose...?
DeleteIs that the sneaky bob cat? How bold, huh hanging out so close to the house. Crazy pants!

I know what the heck! First he walks boldly through the backyard now he is hanging out on the wall like he's our house pet or something. So much for getting chickens or angora rabbits!
Deletewow, I had to look twice to see the cat! Good capture. Here is my spring moment this week. Beautiful flowers everywhere! http://mama-for-sale.blogspot.com/2012/04/this-moment-dieser-moment_20.html

ReplyDeleteahhh great shot, but scary as heck LOL (this from a girl who watched bears walk through her yard, eating from the grapevines, when she was about 10 years old!)
ReplyDeleteWow, incredible. I don't know much about bobcats, but would be surprised if you really had anything to worry about. Now if you had a puppy or chickens, maybe... Happy weekend to you and your family.
