Weekending

This weekend became an impromtu vacation when I found out it was free admission week to the national parks. We visited two sites near by, Tumacacori National Historical Park and Saguaro National Park. We hiked, we picnicked and we learned lots of new things.

We watched tortillas being made, and then we ate them!

Here's the mission.

And some graffiti.

Amazing lines in the granary.

Portraits in the shade of the mesquite trees.

The next day we went to see as many saguaros as we could ever want to see.

And a little hiking before it got to hot. I feel so full after this weekend of exploring. We were riding the family rhythm this weekend and it felt so good!

    1. Have you taken Z to the Mesa Verde yet? I'm thinking that will be a trip we need to take next year. We're planning on doing a week trip next year when they have the free admission week and try to visit as many places as we can. There are a lot of them here in AZ.
