Here are somethings I'm loving: nourishment, connection, craftiness, silliness, sharing, discovery,
:: lots of handmade pasta
:: an hour of creative play between father and daughter, worth the purchase of plastic toys.
:: silly crown wearing
:: the healthiest cupcakes you'll ever meet.
:: sharing is caring.
:: a little bit of handmade love for my little one
:: An amazing storm.
Linking up with my friend Lisa for Seven Things.
Oh, look at you linking up! Loving your list, especially that little doll. She turned out beautifully. Does she have a name yet?
ReplyDeleteThank you! No she doesn't have a name yet. I'm looking into something french though. She looks french I think. She needs a really funky name!
DeleteThat doll is so beautiful--well done! Also love the legos. I think there ought to be a special plastic toy exemption for legos, yes?
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I do think there should be an exemption because S's creatie potential exploded when my husband got these. Before they had trouble playing together but now they can play for an hour straight! She builds the most amazing things and I am happy about it.
DeleteI didn't want them because they are plastic but it has been a good investment. Hopefully they will last until ours girls don't play with them anymore and then we can pass them on to another family.
And I forgot to ohh and ahh over your pasta, too! Will you dry it? Or eat it all fresh?
ReplyDeleteWe ate it all fresh. I made a bolognese sauce and we ate every last piece of pasta and scooped up the sauce with fresh homemade sourdough bread!
Deletenothing beats the duplo legos, we absolutely love them!!! there is so much potential for creative play plus their size is perfect compared to the regular ones if you have a younger sibling around...
ReplyDeleteBoth the one year old and the three year old can play with them. I'm loving them. We haven't gotten anything else but the blocks to allow them open creative time. I don't want to lock them into anything by getting characters or set ups. Though a farm setting is tempting.
DeleteYes, that doll is lovely. And the cupcakes--mmm. Do you have a recipe?
ReplyDeleteI'll post a recipe soon. I tweeked a recipe from the JOY of Cooking 72 edition.
DeleteMmmm homemade pasta is the best! your picture looks like a scene from my kitchen over the past few weeks- homemade pasta is a must when the tomatoes start to ripen! and your lego picture made me smile, my brothers and i would spend HOURS building with legos.
