This weekend for me, was like Mother's Day.
:: I got to sleep in
:: have a massage
:: hubby took care of lunch
:: both girls slept at the same time
:: I took a nap
:: we saw family
:: played with a tiny dog
:: went out on our first date in three years
:: made a batch of pesto straight from the garden
:: watched a spectacular monsoon storm
:: organized the garage (that felt so good!)

Weekending
Your weekend sounds divine! You had me at "sleep in."
ReplyDeleteAlbeit it was only 30 minutes but that makes all the difference!
DeleteSounds like a pretty good weekend :) Hoping your week is just as fabulous.
ReplyDeleteSo far the week is going well too! I just purged three bags of baby clothes!
DeleteDates are so very important, so is sleeping in. Having them both in one weekend is spectacular :)
ReplyDeleteThe two hours that were gone on that date were too short. We're going to try to make it a monthly thing now. It's good for us to get away and good for the girls to know we will come back and there are other people they can trust.
DeleteWow, that was a weekend full of rare pleasures! Good for you.
ReplyDeleteIt totally was. It was like every mama's dream!
DeleteLovely, KC. Sounds perfect.
ReplyDeleteIt was certainly one to remember!
Deleteit sounds great, kc! our dates are few and far between as well so they are always soooo welcome.
ReplyDeletehomemade pesto sounds delish!
It took us so long to get the courage to do it. But now that the ball is rolling we're going to try to make happen once a month and work up to night time. We went out for breakfast. But we'd like to go for dinner on our anniversary in four months.
