This post is a bit of weird mix, but I wanted to show you fun things. First is this apple a I made. You'll notice there are lots of apples in it. Six to be exact. Last time I made apple cake Daniele said more apples less cake. Well I took that to heart. Only I think I should be four apples instead of six. This cake is delicious though.
Here is a picture of the cake in the early morning light. What's nice about this cake is it's not to sweet so you can eat it any time of day. For breakfast, snack or dessert.
I found this awesome thing at World Market. It was super on sale so I had to get it. It's a food basket with a mesh dome. Now we don't live with open windows much, but sometimes we do get flies in the house. This little basket is handmade and good for keeping any food free of bugs.
Plus it looks cool. I like to have funky ethnic touches in the house.
Lastly, green beans. Not the most exciting put I just trimmed washed and froze two gallon bags of them. Not from my garden, but from the you-pick it farm. Today I have to process chili's as well as bell peppers and make apple sauce. So much to do before we go to NM. I don't think I mentioned it yet but I'm bringing Sofia to meet my side of the family. They only live a state away and yet they haven't been able to meet her yet. But come Saturday they will. We're going to have a small party to celebrate her up coming first birthday. I also intend to go to my favorite chocolate shop up in Santa Fe. It will be nice to go home for a bit. Anyway, back to food processing. Sofia is napping thank goodness!
yummy cake! is there any left? and which you pick it place did you go to?
