A morning at the zoo

Okay, here's zoo trip number two with our friends Amy, Xander and Owen. I won't make the zoo a monthly feature or anything, but this trip was particularly cute. Sofia found Owen infinitely interesting, especially his feet.

The animals were really fantastic today. It was cooler and so they were all out when we got there. The gibbons were hooting and hollering as the swung around their cages. Every animal we looked at was out and about and close to our side so we could see them well. Except the polar bear, which I have yet to see there at any visit.

We walked around according to Xander's direction. I like letting him lead, then I don't have to choose! We feed the ducks and then sat down for a rest ourselves. Sofia is getting into the big girl snacks now so she had some barley biscuits and dried apples slices. I really like the fact that she can eat snacks while we are out and about it makes going around a little faster.

I don't mind sitting down to breastfeed, but at this stage toddler breastfeeding acrobatics are not very comfortable in public. Anyway we had a great morning. Now I'm off to get ready for Sofia's birthday party. I've got lots of cleaning to do. I might be away until after the party is over, but rest assured I'll share it will you all when it's over.
